Margaret Irene Riffle, 70, of Bolair, WV, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Webster County Memorial Hospital, following a sudden illness. She was born April 20, 1947 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Hebert and Jocie Quinn Short.

Margaret was a homemaker and a Christian by Faith and loved the Lord. She enjoyed camping with her sisters, feeding the birds, cooking, traveling, shopping, going to yard sales, singing and collecting knick knacks.

She is survived by her children: Richard Earl (Sarina) Riffle of Frametown, Margaret Ann Cornwell (Michael Van Culp) of Bolair, Monte (Lisa) Riffle of Sutton, Peggy L. (Corbett) Greene of Upper Glade, Lynida R. (George) Mustoe of Bolair, Mary S. (David) Mullins of Craigsville, Nina M. Riffle (Jo Kuykendall) of Rivesville, WV and Amanda R. Riffle of Bolair. Sisters: Phylliss Bender of Bolair, Melinda White of Bolair, Peggy Rhodes of Little Birch; Brothers: Dan Short of Birch River, Herbert Short of Bolair and Monte of Upper Glade. Grandchildren: Alyssa Riffle, Bethany Riffle, Travis Cornwell, Jonathan Cornwell, Marcus Cornwell, Cody Riffle, Taylor Riffle, Jason Wine, Ricky Greene, Caleb Greene, Lynida Mustoe, Nicholas Mustoe, and Briana Mullins. Great Grandchild, Ayriana Faith Cornwell.

In addition to her parents, grandson Matthew Riffle, granddaughter Hannah Mullins, sister Anna Springston, and brother Spurgeon Short preceded her in death.

Services will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 1:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Craig Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Short Family Cemetery, Craigsville, WV.
