Services will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 1:00pm at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial with full Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #62, Cowen, will follow at the Carl Cemetery, Carl, WV.  Friends may join the family at 11:00am until time of the service at the funeral home.

Mansel Osbert Gregory, 76, of Craigsville, passed away at his home October 30, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born December 11, 1943, in Webster Springs WV, a son of the late Owen and Arazana Lynch Gregory.

Mansel was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army, a police officer for Webster Springs and Cowen for 47 years and a bus driver for Webster County Schools for 45 years. He loved to hunt, fish and camp. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandbabies.

Left to cherish his memories are his loved and cherished fiancé of 30 years, Helen Gilles of Craigsville, stepsons Mike (Jackie) Collins of Bolair, Terry (Tina) Collins of Shinnston, and stepdaughter Karen (Keith) Baughman of Cowen. Nieces Erica Lewis and Mira Brown of Cowen, great nephews, Brantlee and Chandler Lewis and Trey Brown of Cowen. Also surviving are several Aunts and Uncles, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and special friend Linda Young of Cowen.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Mikel Gregory and stepson Kelly Collins.
