Lisa Machele Mathes, 49, of Cowen, West Virginia, passed away Monday May 30, 2022, after a sudden illness at United Hospital Center. She was born September 8, 1972 in Summersville, West Virginia. The daughter of the late Willie Dale Williams (Pepo) and Connie Smith Williams.

Lisa attended Webster County High School. She was a homemaker, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends, camping, riding, and crafting.

Left to cherish memory is her son Nathan Lee Spence, daughter-in-law, Felica Dawn Williams, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, siblings, Dennis B. Williams (Denny) of Cowen, sister, Kayla L. Williams Peyett of Craigsville, grandchildren, Tyler Gage, Brody Lee Spence, of Summersville, and her beloved granddaughter, Allyson Dawn Spence, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and companion Bradley McQuerry, best friend, Kathy Williams, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces, Connie and Nikki Williams, of Camden on Gauley.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her uncle, Arley Williams, and sister-in-law Teresa Williams.

A service will be held at 1:00PM Friday June 3, 2022 at Morris Funeral Home Cowen, with Pastor Mark Coffman officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Farm Cemetery, Camden on Gauley. Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home from 11:00AM until the time of service Friday.
