Dear Robyn, Deepest sympathy for the loss of your sister Judy. I remember my sister Doris and I spending the night with Judy and you when we were in elementary school, and your lovely mother made waffles for breakfast for us. Sisters are special, and I know she will be greatly missed. Love, Carol

When Judy was born, very prematurely, Aunt Carolyn’s husband Dr. Kopanko, visited her at the Webster Springs Hospital and said that he didn’t expect her to survive. Apparently, he didn’t know the determination of the Barbes, because she did live. When she was around 4 years of age, I was pulling her around on her Grandma Barbe’s porch in a little red wagon, and it tipped over and she fell off the back. When she grew to adulthood, She and I often joked that the incident probably rearranged her brain to make her smarter. Years later when she was single again, I visited her as she was studying for the courses that she was taking at Glenville College to be a schoolteacher. I am sure that she was a wonderful teacher whose students loved her. My last remembrance of her was at her Dad’s garage with him, Rick and others spinning their honey. She was so involved and excited. She had made a big pot of spaghetti for everyone. She had told me that her wish was to live one day longer than her Dad to spare him the grief of losing her. She was one of the best people that I have known, Love, Uncle David
