My beloved wife, Jane Dyer, 72, of Cowen, WV went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, January 4th 2022, at Cornerstone Specialty Rehabilitation Hospital in Huntington, WV after an extended illness.  Born June 6th, 1949 in Lewis County, Weston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Sally Bayne Bennett who moved to and lived at Cottle, WV.

Jane graduated from Glenville State College in 1973 and taught the 3rd grade at Cowen for one year and decided she wanted to be with her loving husband serving and retiring in the US Navy.  She ended up making friends over the world and here in the USA.  That’s the kind of congenial person she was.

Jane loved the Lord and the body of Christ and was a devoted help meet (fit) for her husband for 54 wonderful years of marriage and such a kind hearted soul to everyone.  Additionally, Jane was a wonderful mother to her 3 children while her husband James W. Dyer, CDR, USN was at sea many months while she had that parental responsibility at home.  Additionally, Jane had a special place in her heart for her beloved children and grandchildren.  Above all, she was a devout Christian and attended the Love and Life Full Gospel Community Church on the Williams River Road, Cowen, WV.

Left to cherish and honor her memories are her husband Chaplain Jim Dyer, son David Andrew (Terri) Dyer of Davenport, FL, daughter Rebekah Jane (Freddie) Schulz of Orlando, FL and daughter Rachel Joy (Tom-Ray) Molokwu of Orlando, FL  In addition, her grandchildren Hannah Marie, Amy Ruth, Noah James, Josiah Otto, Sophia Jane and Abigail Theresa, all living in FL  Additionally, Jane’s two brother’s Thomas (Charlotte) Bennett of Craigsville, Rory (Fay) Bennett of Craigsville, and one sister, Debbie Meadows of Cottle.

Services to celebrate Jane’s life will be held at 2pm, Saturday,  January 8th, 2022 at Morris Funeral Home in Cowen with Evangelist Larry Lovely officiating.  Burial will take place at Odd Fellow’s Cemetery, Cowen.  Friends may join the family for visitation from 12:00pm until time of funeral at the funeral home.
