Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life Tuesday March 30, 2021 at Nicholas Memorial Stadium from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Mark’s family asks that you dress for a Nicholas County football game in honor of Coach Fleming.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Coach Fleming Memorial Scholarship,” which is currently in the works. If making a donation at this time, please make checks out to “Coach Fleming Memorial scholarship” and submit checks to Lisa Fleming until the account is set up.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic following of state and CDC guidelines for social distancing and facial coverings are recommended.

John “Mark” Fleming, age 56, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 26, 2021 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, West Virginia after a short battle with cancer. Mark was born on December 29, 1964 to the late Betty Lou Fleming. He graduated from Richwood High School in 1983 and went on to continue his education at Glenville State College.

Mark is survived by his wife Lisa; daughter Marissa; twin sister Marchelle and brother-in-law Tim Bennett; brother Paul and sister-in-law Patricia Fleming; and numerous athletes who he thought of as his own.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Lou Fleming.

Mark was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin, friend, teacher, and coach. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and West Virginia sports.
