Joe Junior Garvin, 77, of Cowen, West Virginia, passed away, Sunday August 14, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia after a hard battle with COVID-19. Joe was born July 16, 1945, in Diana, West Virginia, the son of the late Joe Andrew and Nellie Ann Mcie Garvin.

Joe was retired as the head mechanic for the Webster County Board of Education with 25 years of dedicated service. He was an honorably discharged Marine. Joe enjoyed his easy chair watching television and playing on the computer.

Surviving is his loving wife of 48 years Nellie Garvin, children, Joe A. Jr. Garvin., of Norfolk, Virginia, Julia Stout of Diana, Sherry Taylor of Marmet, Karen Snodgrass of Marmet, Allen Mackey of La-cyne, Kansas, Douglas Mackey of Ohio, Brian Mackey of Upper Glade, adopted children, Jessica and Jennifer, brother, Roy Garvin of Cowen, sister, Colleen Barrier of Cowen. 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter are left to cherish his memory.
