Jody Wolverton, 37, of Erbacon, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born August 18, 1982 in Webster Springs, a son of Darlene Wolverton and the late Mitchell Wolverton.

Jody was a coal miner working for Affinity Coal Company and was a 2000 graduate of Webster County High School. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, his bowtie” Redline Edition” truck, watching WVU Sports, family time and making people smile and laugh. He attended Trinity Covenant Church and loved the Lord.

Surviving are his mother, Darlene Wolverton, brother, Sam (Tina) Wolverton of Burnsville, sister, Sarah (Shane) Cunningham of Craigsville and the love of his life, Jeri Walker of Summersville. He’s also survived by many nieces, nephews family and friends.

In addition to his father, brother, Jeffrey Wolverton preceded him in death.

Service will be 1:00pm Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Marsha Crites and Pastor Joe Salisbury officiating. Burial will follow at the Salisbury Cemetery, Erbacon. Friends may call from 11:30am until the time of service Sunday at the funeral home.
