Friends will be received at Morris Funeral Home from 6-8 on Saturday, July 24th.  Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm on Sunday with burial following at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Cowen, WV.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, C/O Linda Dyer, PO Box 476, Cowen WV 26206.

Jeane Cochran Ward-Goff peacefully slipped from this world into Heaven on July 21, 2021 after a short illness.  Jeane was born along with her identical twin sister Joni in Parcoal, WV on St. Patrick’s Day 1941.

Jeane was a proud member of her community.  She served as councilman and mayor of the town of Cowen.  She belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church of Cowen since 1970 where she served as Sunday School teacher and Superintendent.

Jeane was preceded in death by her parents, Gaylord and Mary Belle (Wilson) Cochran, her husband, Robert Lee Ward, two precious grandsons, Logan Gray Collier and Avery Lee Ward and great granddaughter Brooke Faranda and three brothers, Teddy James, Billy Grant, and G.W. Cochran.

Left to carry on her legacy of love is son, Robert Randall (Tammy) Ward of Ridge, NY, daughters Sandra Tanner of Webster Springs and Stephanie Gray of Staunton, Va, grandchildren, Nathan, Chase and Mckenzie Collier, Shaunie Vaden, Brittany Faranda, Randi Ward, Erin and Kyle Gray and great grandchildren Kailee, Jaxson, Ryder, Halle, Ava, Lucas, Andrew and Cali.

She is also survived by her brothers Cofer “Bud” (Lilly) Cochran of Webster Springs, Charlie (Linda) Exline of Summersville and John (Donna) Exline of Fairfax, Va and her sisters Mary Allen of Conetoe, NC, Joni Gray of Gaithersburg, Md., Lillian (Earnest) Roberson of Conetoe, NC and Janette (Delmas) Cogar of Grafton.
