Jim’s request for cremation has been honored and a Memorial Service will be 5:30pm Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Morris Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Kidd officiating. Military Honors will follow by American Legion Post #62.

A gathering of family and friends will at 3:00pm until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center at LAJ-VAMC 00P One Medical Center Dr. Clarksburg, WV 26301. On check memo please write 1907 GPF

James Donzal Pugh, 71, of Webster Springs, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at Charleston Area Medical Center.  He was born January 31, 1947 in Fairmont, a son of the late Dr. Donzal and Emogene Bickel Pugh.

Jim was a 1965 Graduate of Webster Springs High School and a graduate of Huntington Barber College. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and the owner and Master Barber of Son of Doc’s and Son of Doc’s II Barber Shop for over 48 years, making numerous friends and customers over the years. Jim was a member of Addison Lodge # 116 AF&AM, former Webster Springs City Council member, a member of the Democratic Executive Committee, and an Eagle Scout. He was an avid Webster County Highlander and WVU fan. Jim loved spending time with his grandchildren and his many customers, he loved his community of Webster Springs.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Tonda (Eric) Griffith of Oak Hill, Tara (Michael) Peterson of South Charleston, Christina (Kyle) Neve of King, North Carolina, brother, Joe (Linda) Pugh of Webster Springs, sister, Regina Kavanaugh of Outer Banks, North Carolina, grandchildren, Abby Griffith, Zoe Griffith, Noah Griffith, Grace Peterson, Emma Claire Peterson, Courtney Neve, Jarred Neve and Cameron Neve.

In addition to his parent’s, grandson Miles James Peterson preceded him in death.
