Jack Daniels “Danny” Jackson, 73, of Cowen, passed away Saturday, May 6^th, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 9, 1949 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late Harry Dale and Freda Lorrine Stone Jackson.

Jack “Danny” worked in the glass industry for Owens-Illinois for 42 years, as a production manager. He made Jack Daniels whiskey bottles among many others and worked in many different locations around the country and even traveled internationally to work. He was a class of 1967 graduate of Cowen High School. Danny was an avid outdoorsman, always enjoying hunting and fishing.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Janice Jackson, daughter, Amy Jackson of Denver, Colorado, siblings, Brenda Teller of Nitro, West Virginia, and Mary Stone of Charleston, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his son Ronnie Jackson and brother Harry Jackson.

Services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Rev. Nancy White officiating. Burial will follow at the Jackson Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 11am until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
