George Edward Helber, 75 of Cowen passed peacefully Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg.

He was born January 16, 1941 a son of the late Willis William and Ardis Evelyn Wolfe Helber.

George was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for Carbordum Fiberglass Plant. He also worked for United Megill and T.S. Trim Company all in Ohio. George was a Deacon at the Upper Glade Community Church; He was a Past Master of AF&AM Mingo Lodge # 171 in Logan, Ohio. He loved to hunt, fish, play social card games and spend time with family and friends.

Surviving is his wife of 17 years, Gayle Wolverton Helber, children, George (Tracy) Helber of Albany, Ohio, Gregory (Beth) Helber of Logan, Ohio, Lesley Biesk of Logan, Ohio, step-children, Todd Williams, Trena Williams, sisters, Pam (Gary) McNichlos of Lauraville, Ohio, Kathryn (Don) Taylor of Lancaster, Ohio, grandchildren, Dillon Helber, Rachel Helber, Alex Biesk, step-grandchildren, Austin Groves, Aaron Williams, Allison Williams, Brianne Williams.

In Addition to his parent’s brother, William Eugene Helber and sister, Helen Carol Darnell preceded him in death.

In keeping with Georges wishes he chose to be cremated.
