Service will be held at 2:00pm. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen with Pastor Eddie Groves officiating. Burial will follow at Black’s Chapel Cemetery, Camden on Gauley. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00pm until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Dewey Jennings Meadows, 69, of Craigsville, passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 23, 2021 at his sister’s home, with his loving family by his side, after an extended illness. He was born November 27, 1951 in Webster County, a son of the late Sam and Ona King Meadows.

Dewey was a former equipment operator for the Reese-Viking Corporation. He loved working and training horses, going to horse shows, carpenter work, cutting wood, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is his loving wife and best friend of 42 years, Vickie Elkins Meadows, siblings, Eddie Meadows, of Craigsville, Birdie Jackson of Craigsville, Ted (Shirley) Meadows of Perry Hall, Maryland, Ruby (Sam) Petry of Craigsville, Anita (Larry) Bleigh of Craigsville and Dail (Butch) Mullens of Craigsville, sister in laws, Donna Meadows and Debbie Meadows, special friends who Dewey treated as his children, Laura (Shawn) Hinkle and Kevin (Sandy) Hatley and their children, Madison Hinkle, Curtis Hinkle and JR Hinkle, his loving dogs, Buddy and Tinker, and many other nieces, nephews and friends to morn his passing.

In addition to his parents, siblings, Johnny Meadows, Wanda Bailes, Ronald Meadows, Lewis Meadows and sister in law Delphia Meadows preceded him in death.
