Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, WV will open their doors for family to receive visitors at 1:00 pm prior to services at 2:00 pm on August 27, 2016. The Family then will hold a short graveside service at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Cowen. The Family will return to the Farm on Bragg Run for further fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Lewis & Lindy Educational Fund can be mailed to Owen Bragg, PO Box 153, Adrian, WV 26201 or donated during visitations.

Carl E. Bragg, born and raised in Boggs, WV, July 31, 1932, passed away August 18, 2016 at the age of 84.

Carl was a Korean-Vietnam Veteran. Retired after 22 years in the U.S. Army he received numerous Medals and Commendations including 2 Bronze Stars; Army Commendation Medal; Vietnam Service and Campaign Medal; Korean Service Medal; United Nations Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal; 5 Good Conduct Medals with 5 Oversea Bars. Carl continued to serve his community as a Life Member of VFW Post 1991, Jonesboro AR and a Life Member of Chapter 26 DAV. Carl also served and supported as a member of the Honor Guard in Jonesboro. For his service to the community he was honored as the Grand Marshall of the Veterans Day Parade 2014.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son Michael C. Bragg and his treasured seven brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving companion of 22 years, Mabel Crawford of Jonesboro. His Daughter, Brenda Bragg of Cataula, GA. The 5 children of Mabel Crawford that he loved as his own, Donna Thorpe; Allen Crawford; Susan Deeds; Steven Crawford and Tammy Crawford. He shared and loved the 10 grandchildren and all the great-grandchildren with Mabel Crawford.
