Services will be at 1:00PM, Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating.  Burial will follow at Odd Fellow’s Cemetery, Cowen, WV.   Friends may call from 11:00AM until time of the service Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Camilla V. (Millie) Dyer passed away from this life into her eternal heavenly home at the Webster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Cowen, WV, on February 23rd, 2019.  She was born April 14th, 1923, a daughter of the late Hazel B. and Deloris G. Donaldson.

She was  95 years, 10 months and 9 days old.  She always exhibited and practiced a hard work ethic, and loved to help people who needed it.  She helped her father at the coal mines as a slate and rock picker from coal on mining belts and after graduation from high school, worked for the Glen L. Martin Co., Baltimore, MD as Millie the Riveter, riveting aluminum panels on military aircraft during WWII.   Over the years, she worked at 4 different restaurants and ice cream stands.  Additionally, she loved to make cakes and pies to give to people all through Webster County,  She loved to attend Church and participated in singing gospel hymns at the nursing home and was always moved by people who came to pray with her.

Camilla was preceded in death by her husband, Wade H. Dyer, her mother and father Hazel B. Donaldson and Deloris Green Donaldson, her brothers, baby Edward Donaldson, Ray Donaldson, sisters Barbara Keene, and Pauline Stanley.

Millie leaves behind two sons, James W. Dyer (Jane Bennett Dyer), Joseph H. Dyer (Linda Wilson Dyer) and one sister, Alice M. Mullens, all of Cowen, WV.  

Five grandchildren:  David A. Dyer (Terri) of Davenport, FL, Rebekah J. Schulz (Freddie) of Orlando, FL and Rachel J. Molokwu (Tom-Ray) of Orlando, FL  Jeromy Dyer of Eglon, WV  and Sara Dyer of Ellicote, MD.

Seven great grandchildren:  Hannah M. Dyer, Amy R. Dyer, Noah J. Schulz, Josiah O. Schulz, Sophia J. Schulz,  Alexander (Alex) D. Dyer, and Joannah S. Dyer.   Millie also leaves behind several nephews and nieces.
