A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday, April 12, 2021 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen. Graveside Service will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at The Alex Williams Cemetery, Cranberry Ridge with Rev. Keith Williams officiating.

Arden Ray Prater Jr. (Wezzle) 39, of Cowen, passed away unexpectedly on Friday April 2, 2021 at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born June 22, 1981, in Webster Springs, a son of Arden Sr. and Debra Robinson.

Arden was a graduate of Webster County High School class of 2000. He was a former employee of Jim C. Hamer Lumber Company. He enjoyed collecting guns, shooting guns, hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, video games, old muscle cars, and enjoyed spending time with his children.

Surviving is his soulmate of over twenty years, Stephanie Cool, children, Emma Prater, Liam Prater, and Avah Prater, grandfather, Hobie Robinson, and many other extended family and friends, plus his loving furbabies, Luna, Mama, Ki-Ki and Roe.

Preceding Arden in death is his grandmothers, Bonnie Robinson, Christine Prather, and grandfather Arden L. Prather.
