Ancil Osborne Green, 77, of Erbacon, WV, passed away December 23, 2017 at Summersville Regional Medical Center. Ancil was born March 20, 1940 in Webster County, a son of the late William Holt and Lilly Payne Green.

Ancil was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for Harco Auto and Electric. He loved to fish and fix lawnmowers and weedeaters. He was a family man and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Sherrill “Susie” Green, son Philip Green of Erbacon, Siblings: Sampson Green of Grassy Creek and Gatha Clutter of Diana; Grandchildren: Angela Faith Green, Heaven Grace Green, Hannah Josephine Merrill, Dylan Philip Green and Peyton Haney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Angela Sue Green and brother Merlin Green.

Services will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00am at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Pastor Eddie Green officiating. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery, located along the Elk River, with Military Graveside Rites by American Legion Post #62. Friends may join the family for visitation on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Funeral Home.
